Instaar is a consortium of high tech companies providing instruments, data, and services to detect, map, analyze, and manage as never before. Using patented technologies and extensive expertise in spectral imaging,the group provides standard or customized spectral imaging systems to meet demanding requirements. In todays rapidly changing technical environment, the team sets the pace. Past research developed scanning technology and data analysis methods to detect mineral deposits and stressed vegetation from the air. The team has expanded the use of airborne spectral scanning from geological exploration to a wide range of other applications from monitoring crops to detecting oil spills. Capable of scanning and mapping more than 5,000 square kilometers of terrain per day, the group's hyperspectral airborne imaging systems provide greater spectral and spatial resolution then satellite systems. In the past the group designed customized airborne imaging systems to meet mission requirements, including altitude restrictions and other flight constraints. The consortium's new airborne imaging systems translate the entire spectrum of ultraviolet, visible, infrared, and thermal energy into images revealing the presence and distribution of minerals, gasses, contaminants, and vegetation. The environmental research team's high-resolution hyperspectral imaging systems and spectroradiometers have been used in the past on six continents to characterize environmental conditions, explore for and manage natural resources, monitor crops and forests, identify targets, produce maps and images for a variety of other applications in urban planning, facilities management, geological exploration, and change detection. SpectroTech instruments and airborne image data services, building on the group's past experience,is a full-service remote sensing company providing quality image mapping and
spectral analysis solutions for natural and environmental
assessment and monitoring. The group offers an integrated suite
of contract remote sensing services and information as well
as information products for a wide varity of applications.
